How to create an audiogram for your podcast

November 10, 2020

Audiograms are great for advertising and marketing podcasts on social media because they're engaging and eye-catching content.

In this blog post I'm going to go over a step by step guide on how to create your first audiogram.

1. Sign up for a textreel account

It's free to create an account on textreel and can be done using any Google email address. You can sign up by clicking here.

2. Upload your audio clip

Head over to the create audiogram page and upload your audio clip. We currently accept any mp3, wav, ogg or m4a audio file with no limit on length, however a 30 second clip usually works best.

3. Select your animation style

We have 4 different animation styles to choose from, all of which make for a great audiogram. Select your favourite and then proceed to the next step.

4. Customise your audiogram

textreel offers a wide range of customisation options for your audiogram such as background image, text colour, resolution and soundwave so you can style it to match your branding.

5. Select output format and language

It's important that you correctly select the language spoken in the audio clip as this will improve the accuracy of the transcription. Here you can also selec the video format you would like your audiogram to be in. If you're unsure we reccommend mp4 as this is accepted by all social media platforms.

6. Check your transcript

Once you're happy hit the "Fetch transcript" button and textreel will produce a transcript of your audio file. We give a confidence score to each word spoken so you can easily see if any words are wrong and correct them.

7. Generate your audiogram

After confirming your transcript is correct all that's left is to click the "Generate video" button and wait for your video.

8. Download that audiogram

That's it, you've got your audiogram!
